After this, it is unsettling to learn that Rock did not appear in the original<em> Metropolis<\/em> manga published in 1949, and one is left wondering who this character is and what the story might have been like without him.<\/p>\n<h3><a title=\"Jungle Emperor Leo &amp; Kimba the White Lion \u2013 Introduction\" href=\"https:\/\/tezuka.strobez.ca\/wp\/?page_id=1427\" rel=\"bookmark\">Jungle Emperor Leo &amp; Kimba the White Lion &#8211; Introduction<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Of the iconic characters created by Osamu Tezuka, few are as easily recognizable as the white lion cub known as Leo or Kimba.
